FLAG AND GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS VICE ADMIRALS

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President
has made the following nominations:
Navy Rear Adm. James C. Dawson, Jr. has been nominated for appointment to
the grade of vice admiral with assignment as commander, Second Fleet and commander, Striking Fleet Atlantic, Norfolk, Va. Dawson previously served as chief of Legislative Affairs, Office of the Secretary of the Navy, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
