Dale E. Stahl Named Chief Executive Officer of Inland Paperboard And Packaging, Inc.

AUSTIN, Texas, May 7 /PRNewswire/ --

Kenneth M. Jastrow, II, chairman and chief executive officer of Temple-Inland Inc., announced today that Dale E. Stahl has been named chief executive officer of Inland Paperboard and Packaging, Inc.

Mr. Stahl, 53, joined Inland in 2000 and has served as president and chief operating officer of Inland and as a group vice president of Temple-Inland Inc. since that time. Mr. Stahl replaces William B. Howes who will retain the position of chairman of Inland until his retirement in 2002.

Mr. Stahl holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master of Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. He brings more than twenty years of experience in the paper industry including having served as president and chief operating officer of Gaylord Container Corporation for twelve years. Mr. Stahl is active in many industry associations and is a director of Amcol International.

In making the announcement, Mr. Jastrow said, "Since joining Inland, Dale's extensive experience and operational expertise have been invaluable in our efforts to reposition our paper group to a market driven/customer oriented container board and corrugated packaging company.
