Retired Admiral Tom Fargo, former Commander in Chief Pacific Forces (CINCPAC), visited the Philippines for meetings with civic groups, businessmen and old friends from his stint as Pacific Commander. His itinerary included a meeting with USNA '70 classmate Roy Golez, one of the longest serving congressmen in the Philippines and Philippine Navy Chief Vice Admiral Ferdinand Golez who happens to be a younger brother of Roy Golez. Admiral Golez has a son, Raymund Golez, who graduated from the USNA, Class of 2003. Roy and Ferdinand Golez thanked Tom Fargo for his many contributions to the development of the Philippine Navy and the campaign against terrorism in Southeast Asia.
