Kent Blythe and Mike Doolin, both off and on Philippine residents, had a get-together with Roy Golez and exchanged sea stories up to two in the morning in Swiss Inn, Makati, Philippines. The trio talked about first day at Annapolis, plebe summer, PMW, Admiral Calvert, polishing shoes, come-arounds, life in the Mess Hall (Roy bragged about his two souvenir Mess Hall chairs), football games specially the 1967 season, that classmate of ours who refused to jump from the tower in spite of cajoling by Swimming Coach Higgins, brigade boxing, crazy classmates like this and that guy, steerage, the beat up coke machines, Supermid, youngster and first class cruise, the moon landing (where were you when man finally landed on the moon?), etc. Of course they also talked about life after the Academy.
