Renewed Hope Organization

Classmates,

I would like your assistance in achieving an objective. I founded a not for profit organization, Renewed Hope; www.renewedhope-vet.com.  Its purpose is to provide transitional living services, addiction counseling, job training, and general life skills for veterans who have become homeless.

While there are many such organizations in operation, there simply are not enough to meet the anticipated demand as our men and women return from Iraq and Afghanistan. It is anticipated that there will be a demand for an additional 5000 beds for the next five years as a result of the homeless from these two war fronts. We are already seeing veterans from these fronts where it took ten years from the completion of Vietnam before the veterans started to become homeless.

The challenge I am facing and the reason I am approaching you is that the majority of the grant funding available for such efforts is given to established programs. So, in the beginning I must seek the $500,000 needed to get started from private sources.

What I am asking of you is one or both of 1) personal donations and/or 2) some direction to the appropriate person in the organization you may be working for so I can present my business plan and ask the organization for assistance.

We are planning a facility to assist 10-15 veterans in the beginning. While this is a very modest number, every little bit helps.

The Lord has placed it in my heart that this is my purpose in life. With His help and that of people like you, this dream will become a reality.

Thanks,

Cliff Kittle
